Yes, "I'm going to have her monitor her blood pressure more often and heart rate. I think her dosage is to strong. Yes, she always feel fatigue. She's going to see the doctor soon, hopefully he can reduce the dosage or give her something that will help.
Thanks for the reply.
80/45 is really too low. Now I see its the medication really affects the blood pressure. Yes, I think the dosage is really high, she's going to see her doctor about that. I notice she is always tired and feels very fatigue very day, so that's why. I'm going to have her monitor her blood pressure more often.
Thanks for the replies.
Yes, she checks her blood pressure. Its always on the low side, around 106/ 74 and 104/67 That's really low 95/50 for your blood pressure.
Perhaps ask the Doctor to put a portable blood pressure monitor on your Mother for 24 hours so you have a better picture. I have this once a year and oddly enough, my next 24 hours is due tomorrow. Perhaps it would be worth taking her heart rate several times during that day also. Carvedilol is a beta blocker and getting the balance of these medications is an absolute nightmare. Most patients believe that the fatigue they feel is due to their heart when many times it's due to having too much beta blocker in your system. I take a different beta blocker, a much stronger one. I started on 5mg and felt aweful. I knew it was this medication and insisted my cardiologist approached it in a different way. He reduced me to 1.25mg and my angina and fatigue disappeared so we kept it at this level. Now at 7 years later I take 2.5mg. It keeps angina away but still no fatigue. We increased the dosage only because 1.25mg was no longer keeping away the chest discomfort. Most Doctors take the same dosage they issue to all other patients and expect them to simply handle it.
25 mg of Lisinopril is indeed a high dose. I have Congestive Heart Failure, and take both Lisinopril and Coreg, but smaller doses because it tires me out so badly. Like Occupant, I was developing very low blood pressure which makes one very tired, my bp would drop to about 80/45. You might want to talk to the doctor about easing off the dose. That said, I'm not a health professional, so take my idea with a grain of salt.
I am taking Lisinopril, but only 10mg. I check my blood pressure occasionally and it has gone down to sometimes 95/50. Is she or are you doing that?
