Low Blood Pressure and Heart Problems

I am a 57 year old woman with Fibromyalgia and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, two very serious diseases and M.E. comes with a host of cardiac problems, which I've just discovered.  I had a stroke 6 months ago and am currently being treated to prevent conjestive heart failure, but the problem is I have had low blood pressure for many years and I am being given Licinopril to prevent CHF but it lowers my blood pressure even more, causing a great deal of even more increased debilitation, dizziness, lethargy and pain.  Is there a heart medication out there that does not decrease blood pressure that I can ask my doctor to prescribe?  Thank you for any assitance.

The only intervention from a cardiac perspective that does not lower your blood pressure would be the placement of a pacemaker. This may work if you have developed significant conduction disease such that your sinus node does not accelerate to the point of allowing you to increase your cardiac output appropriately. I would suggest either a Holter monitor or a tilt table test to document your heart rate response to stressors and or ambulation and if positive then proceed  with a dual chamber pacemaker placement. If you develop true congestive heart failure then you may need a third lead added on to your pacemaker to facilitate cardiac function.
