I am a male, age 63, in good health. I take only zocor, 20 mg/day and an aspirin/day. My resting BP is 110/59 +/-, pulse 64-68. But when I exercise hard (50 minutes step aerobics or 30 minutes bike and tread mill) BP only goes up a little for a short time to 117/62 or 120/63 and then it drops like a rock when I move to weights and cool down some. It has fallen to 101/58 and as low as 88/52 which is what it was last night after high intensity aerobics. When it is that low I do feel a little light headed and my arms feel a little heavy for a while, but no other symptoms. Eventually it climbs back up to my normal range. Should I be concerned about the low BP readings? Thank you.
