My question is, what can I do to get my red blood cell count up again? I have recently started to weaken (again). I feel almost as bad as I did when I was put in the hospital. Is there something I can do so I do not have to go through another (very expensive) medical procedure?

The real question is why was your red count so low. There are a number of reasons for that, so there are then many different treatments for it. Theoretically, if your CHFHeart failure was solely from anemia, then once the anemia is corrected, you would then not have heart failure anymore. There must be some underlying condition that is causing your anemia. You need to make an appointment with your physician and ask them to explain everything in simple terms so you know exactly what you are dealing with.
