Low diastolic pressure, lightheadedness and flushed

by Sugartown, Mar 17, 2007 12:00AM
My husband is a don't complain type of man. Lately, he has been complaining of feeling bad, flushed feeling as he calls it with some lightheadeness. I tried to get him to go to doctor but he says hes ok. I went a purchased a blood pressure kit. His diastolic is consistanly low between 49 and 54. He is 48. His systolic pressure runs around 120-115 with a pulse average of 63. Is there anything I need to keep my eye on or should I insist that he go to a doctor?

Sugartown,

thanks for the post.

A blood pressure is only a component of a full medical history and physical. The fact that your husband is having new symptoms, especially since he is a 'no complain' kind of person means he really should be seen by a medical provider. There are a lot of causes of his type of symptoms beyond blood pressure.

I would encourage you to recommend this to him.

good luck
