Lp-PLA2

I have a high Lp-PLA2 (348).  How can it be lowered?

good question, as that probably applies to lowering CRP as well. A high Lp-PLA2 seems to be associated more with stroke than with heart risk... as is associated with plaque formation and also with rupture.

So, you'd likely want to reduce/avoid the bad things: smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol. They seem to be proinflammatory. So do high blood sugar and high insulin levels.

To lower Lp-PLA2: exercise, weight loss, statins and fibrates, niacin, fish oil. Even aspirin?
