MVP, Heart Murmur and Synthroid

by vivfla, Mar 23, 2009 09:34AM
Hi.  My doctor thinks that I might have MVP {Mitral Valve Prolapse}  or a heart Murmur.  I am on synthroid for a multinodular goiter and the only way that the difficulty swallowing goes away is if I am on a higher dose of synthroid; however, when I take the increased dose I have weird symtpoms on and around my heart.

My question is: Do I need to have this heart thing checked out and could I be causing my heart problems by being in the synthroid?  Would I be causing more harm to my heart by taking this medication?
