MVP gone?

I had been told that I had an innocent murmur.  About five years ago I had an echo and the cardiologist told me I had MVP and another valve that leaked.  Most doctors do not hear a murmur when listening to my heart.  Can I assume that as long as some doctors don't hear anything that the valves are better and therefore I do not need to see the cardiologist any more? I sometimes am extremely short of breath and very fatigued.
