Hi Arsalan744,

Mild MVP and trivial MR are quite common findings on echocardiogram.  Today's advanced technology allows for very detailed testing, increasingly the likelihood for finding a "trace" (trivial) amount of regurgitation.

A normal chest Xray and EKG are great compliments to your earlier test results.  It sounds as if the doctor is pleased with your report and is not concerned.  What is it about the echo that concerns you?  Many people have trivial regurgitation in one or more valves.  As long as your doctor has determined you have a healthy heart, it doesn't seem that you need to worry.  I've had MVP and MR for at least 30 years, and I may, or may not ever, need surgery.  Did your doctor suggest a follow up echocardiogram in a few years?
