Since nerves are obviously cutCuts and puncture wounds during By-Pass surgery how long will it take for the nerves to rejuvinate. My doctor explained that the nerves may never re-grow. The problem I am experiencing is numbnessNumbness and tingling in my left breast and it is very uncomfortable.
Please respond. Thank You
My surgery was 5 years ago, and the left side of my chest is still not right. Would not say numb exactly, there is some sensation, but definitely not normalNormal saline flush. They told me that harvesting the LIMA for a bypass is what caused it, rather than the incision itself. The right side is just fine.
I had quad by-pass surgery 6 months ago. I have numbness and tingling in both my breasts. The doctors tell me that the feeling may return or may not return. The left side is more numb than the right.
I didn't have bypass surgery but had lung surgery where the nerves were affected. For me the numbness eventually went away ... at least the tingling numbness but I have been left with a loss of sensation on the surgical side.
I do know that it can take quite some time for the nerves to rejuvenate. When did you have your surgery?
