Medical Mystery

I am trying to help my aunt.  She is 58 years old.  Right now she is in the hospital again and no one can figure out what is wrong with her.  She started out with sugar related problems and was started on insulin.  Then she had a serious heart attack and had a stint put in.  She then had an undetermined sort of virus that left her deaf in one ear.  Then she was hospitalized with her colon being swollen and filled with air.  Doctors put her in a drug induced coma to battle this for 7-10 days.  Then her kidneys started having problems.  She now takes Lasik’s 3 times a day approx 80mg per dose and is on an insulin pump.  Now her blood is gelling.  She now has bleeding from her bowels.  She has an extremely low potassium level and her hemoglobin count is not right.  The doctors thought all her symptoms pointed to leukemia but the test was negative.  She has seen so many specialists for kidney, colon, heart, etc.  She now weighs only 86lbs and is in continuous excruciating pain.  She is back in the hospital with her colon completely swollen and no one knows the source of any of her problems.  Please help!!

Have the doctors done a heart biopsy to see if the virus affected her inside of her heart?  Sounds like the problems she is having is coming from her heart.  When the heart fails the kidneys shut down, also problems with blood sugar and problems with the colon not receiving enough blood supply.  When the intestines/colon starts shutting down, there is rectal bleeding.  I am not a doctor, but it sounds like there could have been a virus that affected her heart causing all these other symptoms.  The doctors should know this through blood work.  How is her liver and lungs doing?
