Medical explanation for ER docs diagnosis?

Medical explanation for ER docs diagnosis?

My father died suddenly when he was only 38.  The autopsy lists 'myocardial infarction', but there was no blockage in any arteries.  Other docs I've asked said it could be an arterial spasm since those wouldn't show up.  However, the ER doctor originally told us that my dad had 'blown out his electrical system' and that they got his heart started several times, but it just wouldn't keep its charge.   This was 30 years ago though, I know the knowledge of the heart has improved drastically.

So I'm just curious for any medical term/condition that would cause someone to 'blow out their electrical system'?

30 years later and I've got sinus bradycardia and atrial flutter, both electrical issues, and am curious if there's something I need to be on the look out for.

I have never heard the phrase "blow out his electrical system'. It is possible that your father died from an arrhythmia brought on by a heart spasm in the coronary arteries. Chances are that is how he died.

No blockage in any arteries.  My EP said it is not MI.  If echo reported, it is MI then it is all wrong.

I also have electrical system problem.  The echo reported that I have MI and severe Hypokinesis but my EP said they don't know how to read my ECG.  They read it all wrong.

I have many chest pains tho but the heart enzyme didn't elevate.  They just sent me home and tell me live with it.  One hospital ER doc even told me off and told me not allow to go back there and complaint my heart anymore.
