I don't know if Lipitor spikes blood sugar, but I do know that I feel much stronger and livlier having stopped the Lipitor.

I had a heart attack a year ago (at age 67) and a quadruple bypass this year.  My total cholesterol was well under 200 but the cardiologist wanted it under 100.  I was walking around like a zombie, concerned about the damage that Lipitor was doing to my liver, and not certain that bringing my cholesterol down below 100 would prevent another heart attack or prolong my life.

I stopped the Lipitor about three months ago and I feel 20 years younger.  I take Omega-3 fish oil capsules, watch my diet, and exercise like an athlete.

I really didn't answer your question, but I can't see any benefit to Lipitor... unless you own shares of Pfizer.
