Middle of the Chest Pains that last a couple of seconds

For the past 1 1/2 month I have been having chest pains that come and go. They last a couple of seconds and I don't feel any pain after that. The pain started when I felt my chest being sore and then I went over to my uncle's house and had pizza and all of a sudden there was this sharp stabbing pain in the middle (or slightly left) of my chest wall that lasted a couple of seconds. I have been having similar episodes of chest pain ever since (sometimes 10 times a day). I have had these chest pains before but they would come like every 2-3 months and just once. Now they're more consistent. My blood pressure is normal 110-65 or 115/70 and my heart beat is in the 60s but sometimes it shoots up to the 80s and 90s.

I'm 25 years old and don't drink or smoke, but have a history of heart disease in my maternal family at a young age. I had my blood test and EKG done and they were normal. I have anxiety and I used to take pills. Just a month ago I started noticing that my heart beat was fast. It went upto 150 beats per min and bp was 140/90 at the doctor's office. He said its anxiety and prescribed me 50 mg Atelenol. Since he told me it was anxiety I calmed down and my heart beat went normal without taking the medication. In fact it went down to 58-66 and bp is 110/68. I'm thinking had i taken the pills my heart might've slowed down too much. My total cholestrol was 170 and sugar was 101. I do have gas at times and experience constipation.

Thanks for the reply, Hung. My total cholestrol is 170, which is well within the normal ranges. My breathing was not effected and I don't feel faint when having the chest pains.
