Mild Mitral Regurgitation

Jan 07 my echocargiagram showed that my right atrium is enlarged measuring 4.2 centimeters, and that I have a thickening of the mitral vlave leaflets with mild mitral regurgitation - rather a mild heart murmur. Also had mild tricuspid regurgitation with an estimated pulmonary artery pressure of 49 mil of mercury, consistent with pulmonary hypertention. Everything thing else looked good. What does this really mean and how serious is it? Do I have to have an echo every year to monitor? It goes toward deductible and thus is out of pocket expense. As medical consumers, we have to start making spending choices.
