Mild infarction during, fever after angioplasty

by Ken, Dec 15, 1999 12:00AM
I'm wondering how common my experience is and what is it's significance.  While placing a stent at a juncture of the left main coronary artery, a very small branch was blocked causing a "mild" infarction.  Several hours after the angioplasty I got a rapidly increasing fever (max. 39 C.) which lasted over 48 hours.
