Mitral Valve Prolapse & WPW

When I do my check up last year, Dr said I have a mild Mitral Valve Prolapse, mild Mitral Regurgitation, mild tricuspid regurgitation, plus on the EGC test, they also said I hv a show of WPW pattern. I am 38 years old.

But so far, I don't have any syndrome of feeling fast hear beat, or chest pain...etc. So Dr. said I just need to have antibiotics when I visited dentist or having surgery.

I do have few question,

1/ can I still do exercise regularly like running, swiming..etc.? what is the max. or recommand amont for me? e.g. heart rate should good? Does exercise help to improve the heart sickness of not getting worse?
2/ I don't understand the WPW, it is cased by the MVP ? Am I in the higher risk in this case with WPW.
3/ how long I should do the check up on my heart?

Please kindly help to answer these question or if you are in the similar situation can share with me!

Thanks A LOT

First I was disgnosed with wpw on my EGC test but no ssyndrome of fast heart rate or irregular heart beat. Then My dr. heard some sounds in my heart, and asked me to do anther check up on heart echocardiogram. The result said I have a mild Mitral Valve Prolapse, mild Mitral Regurgitation, mild tricuspid regurgitation. This doctor did said I can exercise and unless I feel uncomfortable.

But I saw aonther doctor before he said I should not exercise or even recommand to do surgery on my wpw. He seems very not professional. That's why I go to the second doctor (I mentioned above).

Thanks all your opinon!

Hi Kim, Do you mind me asking how your Dr diagnosed your Mitral valve prolapse?

Many thanks

WPW is an extra electric pathway in the heart. I was born with this. It gives me palpitation so often. The doctor informed me about this when I was pregnant and I was 20. So if you have not been informed, then you probably don't have it.

My Mitral Valve problems could give me palpitation as well, but I do think is the WPW which is giving me most trouble right now. It has gotten worst with age; well both do for some people. I have been able to excersice: walking instead of running, biking, ect.. but I know my limits and I don't push it. If I did, then I get palpitation.
I would definetely try to maintain a healthy living which include exercise and don't let bad things over excite you. I have noticed that when things are going wrong, I get palpitation faster.

Best wishes,
