Mitral Valve Prolapse and excercise

I have a mild case of Mitral Valve Prolapse diagnosed using echocardiagram.
I am on Toprol XL 25 mg. a day.  When I excercise I will get skipped heartbe3ats
after a period of time from 15-30 minutes into excercise.  I don't excercise
as hard as I would like because of this.  When I bend over to do tasks
(like spreading mulch for a period of time) I will also get skipped beats.
Why?  Should I stop excercising when this happens?
Dear Susie
The mild mitral valve prolapse should not deter you from exercising. Regarding the irregular heartbeat with exercise, I would want do an exercise stress test on you before saying it was OK to exercise, just to make sure the irregular heartbeat is nothing to worry about.
I hope this is useful. Feel free to write back with further questions. Good luck.
