Hello!
I had a disapointing dr visit about 2 weeks ago and am looking for some feedback. I have already been diagnosed in August with a prior (silent) MI in the Left main artery, diastolic dysfunction, LBBB, 60% stenosis in right main artery and originally 50-55% ef. Mild mital regurgitation, wall motion abnormalities. I started coreg 25mg, lasix, lipitor 25 mg, renexa and imdur. Started cardic rehab January 4th.
I had a new echo done 2 weeks ago and the mitral regurgitation is now moderate, my ef is 40%, They mention in the echo that me left atrium is enlarged and the is inferoseptal wall dyskinetic and anterior wall is hypokinetic but the mitral valve is normal in size and thickness. I have shortness of breath daily and mild chest pain as well as being just plain exhausted which I assume is due to the meds. The doc increased my lipitor to 80mg.
I have been researching to te best of my ability and does it seem like mitral valve surgery would help any of this? Do they do this if it is not graded severe? I just want to feel better and am looking for any answers or direction. I don't see my doctor for 2 more months and I want to be prepared to ask some questions and hopefully get a direction. Can this mitral regurg go normally from mild to moderate in 5 months? Same with the ef?
Thank you for your time,
Kim
