Mitral valve prolaps
How often are symptom of MVP like fainting spells actually helped with beta blockers instead of surgery? I will appreciate any responces!

MVP, in and of itself, does not usually require any surgical intervention.  Has your doctor said surgery is a possibility?  I think you said you have a heart murmur.  If so, how significant does your doctor think the regurgitation is?  It is usually graded something like this:  trivial, mild, moderate, severe

There is something called Mitral Valve Prolapse Syndrome.  Try doing a search on that and see what you think.  It is somewhat of a controversial diagnosis, but there are many, many people who stand by it.
