Mitral valve prolapse LVEF

Mitral valve prolapse LVEF

Hi, i'm a 23 year old female from singapore. I was diagnosed with MVP at 6 years old when my condition was still mild. In my 2D echo done a few months back, the report concluded that i have anterior MVP with moderate regurgitation. My LVEF is 60%( by the modified quinones method) and the normal range given in the report is 50-75%. At this moment, my cardiologist does not recommend mitral valve repair but prefers to adopt the wait and see approach with monitoring every 2 yearly.
A few articles i was reading online consider patients with a LVEF of  60%?
Also, i understand that there are benefits of doing early mitral valve repair surgery. I am confused as to whether i should request for a mitral valve repair surgery to be done soon or to follow the approach of my cardiologist, which is to wait and see? Also, does anyone here knows of a reputable place and surgeon  to do mitral valve surgeries? i do not mind travelling to the US to do the surgery if needed.
Relevant advice would be greatly appreciated.
