Mitral valve regurgitation and visual disturbances

I've just noticed a question posted in 2000 from TSM asking whether MVR could be linked with visual disturbances, and the answer given was 'no'.  However, my daughter has the same symptoms, frequent headaches and total loss of vision, which returns after a few seconds.  It is this 'aura' that led the hospital consultant to request and echo cardio, which has diagnosed a mitral valve regurgitation.  Apparently an 'aura' with headaches/visual disturbances can be a symptom of a heart problem.  My daughter was also misdiagnosed as having 'exercise induced asthma' which now appear to be a symptom of her MVR.  Can you tell me whether since 2000 any evidence has come to light of a more common link between MVR and visual problems?

I am online trying to find other people that have been diagnosed with Mitral Valve regurgitation because I think that I have had more things happening to me over the last 3 years since I was first diagnosed.  Keeping in mind that I have had a echocardiogram done every year since and my regurgitation has gone from mild to the high end of moderate (last fall).  I get fatigued easily with exercise, headaches that turn into migrains, have passed out, little red spots on my skin, pain in my sides (when over fatigued), pain from degenerative disk in lower back and neck has increased, muscle twitches from time to time in different parts of my body, leg (calf) cramps.

My concern is that my immune system has been compromised due to MTR because all of these things showed up right before or after my diagnosis and for some reason, I am getting little red bumps (itchy) that are showing up the last month or so too.

It would be good to hear from other people

I've had moderate to severe MVR for the past 5 years (I know about), and I don't have any symptoms other than fatigue and shortness of breath when exertion is rigorous
