Around three months ago they put a stent in my heart - LAD. 99.9% blockage. There are other blockages down the road but not up to 70%. I feel some pinching now and then on the left side after they did an echo. Probably the muscles around the heart but feels like the body is rejecting or squeezing the stent to me.
I haven't been able to quit smoking (2 a day). Cause of these pains, duh?
Not the athletic type, have had thyroid problems. Don't have insurance and have relied on the goodwill of the doctors and the charity of the hospital and the free clinic.
By the way they didn't give me nitroglycerin but I'm taking everything else.
What should I expect as far as further treatment without a decent health insurance plan? Or by continuing smoking? My husband has 2 stents and is a chain smoker. We don't deserve to live, right?
