My 4 yr old has fluid around her heart

My 4 year old daughter was recently seen in the er because she had a fever and stomach pain.. This was very severe , she said she couldnt breathe and was gasping and was in horrible pain.The Dr. did a scan where she had to drink something called contrast, her appendix was fine but the radiologist saw some fluid around her heart..He want too concerned but the cardiologist and my pcp seem very concerned..I was thinking back and she was sick last year and she low had blood pressure but they said it was fine. My youngest daughter has a significant heart murmur and then she also has an abnormal pulminary valve do they have anything to do with genetics?  I am so worried what do you think?

Yes she is seeing a pediatric cardio. We are supposed to see him next month so hopefully everything goes well my youngest is 1 and she also has heart problems so we shall seeThanks for the concern :)

I'm sorry, you must be so worried.  I have a 4 year old too, and I can imagine.

Definitely have her see a pediatric cardiologist, soon.

Was the cardiologist a pediatric cardio?  If not, I would suggest making an appointment with one.  Make a list of all your questions and concerns and get answers.  It is possible it is genetic... anything is possible.  I can understand your worry....we hate to see out kids suffer....but keep in mind that medicine is getting more advanced every day.
