Naproxen

Dear Dr.,
I read on an internet drug directory that naproxen can interact with atenolol and verapamil lessening the effect. I take both, for NCS and IST. The first 5 or 6 days I was fine, but now I am tired all the time. Since being tired was one of my symptoms before medication (and every time I needed an adjustment) I am wondering if it's just the effect of the naproxen alone, or if it is interacting with my meds. I am taking 500 mg 2 x a day. Also, I have been noticing what I think are PAC's, I'm not altogether sure they are PAC's because they feel slightly different than usual. Can you provide any insight?
Thank you.

Dear Jan,
It is more likely that the beta-blockers are causing the feelings of fatigue and not the naproxen.  Of course lifestyle must also be considered.  If you are not getting enough rest and exercise this can contribute to feelings of fatigue.  I'm not sure what rhythm you're feeling.   The only way to be sure is to "capture" it on an ECG or Holter monitor.
