Is this in conjunction with a nuclear scan?
This is referring to the side wall of the heart, I am assuming the left ventricle unless it states right ventricle. The word ischemia means there is a restriction in blood flow to that area of the heart muscle. Now, what is difficult to answer is the word 'changes' because it depends on the test and the context. If it was a nuclear scan, they do one scan with the heart at rest, and one with it stressed. It would mean the extra flow required under stress is not working. If it was an echo then it likely saying that the area is simply receiving less blood than the rest of the muscle, noticed by the heart wall in that area not moving as efficiently.
