New Condition

I am 38 and somewhat active.  I am 6' 2" and 210 lbs.  The doctor says I have a slightly englarged heart.  I dont have high blood pressure or cholesterol.  I have a family history of heart issues on both my mom and dads sides.  My pulse rate is around 45-55 at rest normally.

I also compete occasionally at a high level in martial arts tournaments and will train 2-3 times a day (but I have not done this amount of training consistently over the last year, but I still compete).

The doctor originally prescribed Coreg and then reconsidered after I mentioned my low heart rate and now has prescribed Lisinopril.

Being as young as I am, I am really concerned with going to daily maintenance medicine.  I don't want one issue to turn into 2 or more because of medicine.  However, I don't want to ignore the situation either and I want to live a long life for me and my family's sake.

I have been reading about the condition and the treatments and I am not sure that Lisinopril is the best solution.  What are my options?

What can I expect over the years on this medicine?  Can I still compete and train?  Will I have to adjust my lifestyle?  Can the enlargement actually be reduced (if so can it be reduced without medicine)?

Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.  I am having a hard time getting my head around doing what is best for me.

Thanks in Advance!
