Non specific chest pain

Non specific chest pain

I am a 38 year old male and have been getting non-specific chest pains for over 5 years now. Some tiems I can feel it behind my chest bone and in my back and sometimes moves around behiond my rib cage. It only happens when I am sitting down and it seems mostly when I am leaning on my right shoulder at a desk. It never happens when I m exercising (I exercise at leat 5 times a week about 30minutes on the stairmaster). and I dont feel out of breath or anything like that.I dont have any family history of heart problems either.
It will happen around 2 to 3 times a years and lasts for 20 minutes maximum. I have been to several doctors and had at least 5 resting EKGs. All normal. I have had several chest xrays which again were all normal and clear. I also had a stress EKG which came back normal and said that my heart is healthy. I asked this Cardiologist what could be causing this he said it could be stress or maybe a nerve apparetly the chest is linked to nerves in other parts of the body including the arms.

Maybe I am worrying too much but I am concerned that maybe the Doctoros and cardioogists have missed something. Does anyone have anything similar to this and does any Doctor know what could be causing this?
I would really appreciate any feedback. I am even thinkimng about getting an echocardiogram.

Thanks

After doing more research, I have found something that can mimic chest pain and heart disease; A Herniated Disc.

There have been cases where people have actually though they are having a heart attack when in fact it has been because of a herniated disc!

This might be a reasoonable assumption given the fact that I have poor posture and have slouched over a cimputer in a very unhealthy way for the last 15 years. I also recall that the onset of this pain came at the same ime that I was lifting heavy weights at the gym about 5 years ago. (something I dont do anymore). Maybe this caused the initial problem.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I am a 39 year old female in good health and for the last two weeks have been having non specified chest pain. I was eventually in the Heart ER to no avail.  My heart is fine but like Danny, am unable at the present time to discover a solution to the pain.  I was told that it was most likely inflammation or otherwise, soreness which I whole hardedly disagree.  I am very frustrated and uncomfortable with the diagnosis I have been given.  I will be welcome to any suggestions in this manner.
