Normal ECHO 5 years after acute Myocarditis = no DCM as Sequelae ?

I read horrible statistics about acute Myocarditis and deaths because of its complication: dilated cardiomyopathy (50+% of cases !!!??? Is this TRUE??)  I had normal echo 5 years after acute Myocarditis = normal EF, normal size etc. Does it mean i escaped this?

If you had a normal echo after 5 years, I wouldn't overly worry about this. Before you get anxious about statistics (which can sometimes be misleading)- give your doctor a call if you feel the need for an additional check up.
