Nuclear stress test

I had a myocardial profusion scan awhile back but did not complete the resting part due to very bad reaction to radioactive tracer. It said" there was a reduction in the tracer uptake within the septum proximally and also within the anterior wall in the region of mid ventricle.gated acquisition shows no thickening or motion abnormality.Without a rest study it is not possible to differentiate attenuation within anterior wall and a prominant membranous sepum from only mild reversible ischaemia."Does anyone know what that is in english? They want me to do an angio but I cannot tolerate radiation and am hyper sensitive to dyes/tracers..so have requested an echo excercise test. Is the above statement referring to an artery problem? Is it anything to worry about?Do I need an angio or can an echo excercise test see whats going on?very confused...any ideas would be very much appreciated.

The septum (wall separating left and right heart chambers) is normal size and flexibility, but there is an area of the septum that is unresoved whether or not there is ischemia (lack of blood flow usually due to blocked (occluded) vessels).

Whether there are serious issues depends on your symptoms, medical history and any other signs that may support a medical problem.  The fact your septum is of normal size and no wall impairment indicates there are no serious consequences from ischemia or a prior heart attack.

Because the septum supports and provides a pathway for electrical impulses for the heartbeat contractions, any medical impairment to that area can cause arrhythmia (irregular heartbeats).
