Thanks for the post.

Your problem, strictly as described by your post, sounds a lot more like a neurological condition than a cardiac condition.  I would let your internist be your guide in the referral process.  If you continue to have progressive neurologic symptoms, seek aggressive diagnostic measures.  I can't answer the question about exercise at this point, but your doctor should be able to give you guidance in this matter.

Did they do an MRI of your spinal cord to rule out things such as muoltiple sclerosis?  I have heard that sometimes the lesions are unable to be seen in the brain, and they might be able to see some in the spine.  Also maybe a lumbar puncture to rule it out as well.
Maybe it is just a pinched nerve somewhere causing the probs.

In regards to your passing out, it would seem appropriate to have a Holter Monitor recording of your cardiac rhythm for 24-48 hours to rule out any possible arrhythmias. However, in the setting of a normal stress test, I would be less concerned. The numbness you
