I was on Atenelol 25mg for approx. 2 yrs. Recently on a doc visit, I was changed to
InderalInderal
Inderal la LA 60. It was to do double duty of blood
pressurePressure ulcer and relieving my migraines. Since being on this new one, about a week, I have noticed the tip of my tounge being sensitive, and
painfulPainful menstrual periods. It almost feels as though it has been burned. Is this a side-effect of
InderalInderal
Inderal la? It is bothersome enough for me to want to stop taking it.
I am thankful though for the dual purpose of the drug as I have HBP as well.
Thanks again for your thoughts.
Have you been on a beta blocker for long? Do you notice a decrease in your BP? Do you experience side effects with beta blockers?
Thanks.
Just wanted to let you know that I have been taking toperol XL for PVCs. I was prescribed 25mg/day but found the first time I took them (three days in a row) that I was VERY fatigued, which annoyed me to no end because fatigue was one symptom I was experiencing from the high frequency PVCs. On the toperol I was dragging my bottom and felt like I was walking around in a fog.
My BP is pretty normal 120/75, and maybe dropped 110-115/70, so it didn't go to low, but you wouldn't want yours to go much lower than what you have now.
I didn't find toperol it did much for the high frequency, but it did end a constant bigeminal pattern and some nsvt. But I stopped taking it when the bigeminy stopped because I was just too tired.
I have tried it again, (this time 12.5mg/day for about a week), but it didn't stop a constant trigeminy pattern so I stopped taking it because I was getting tired again. I find this time I'm not tired with PVCs even with the trigeminy.
I do have to say, most doctors would recommend you take the medication longer than I did, unless you had significant symptoms. I felt mine were significant enough. There are so many BBs out there, you might need to experiment--with your doctor to find one that works for you.
