PAC/PVC episodes skipping everybeat

Does anyone else have palps that are so put together that it feels like the HR goes from 50 to 100 at a momemts notice? I get a beat;skip beat;skip for a couple minutes (which feels as 50bpm)then it goes into a beat;beat x8 then a skip and repeats itself. (which feels as  100bpm) From here it try to reset itself to somewhere in the 70ish range.
Am I alone here? Is this what palps is all about?

sorry your having so many but yes thata how mine are doing now for 5 weeks, they have a mind of there own try relax it only makes worse as we stress just saw my cardio and nothing to worry about am have over 36,000 a day so am still here . try to go on with your everyday life and just know they not going kill you , barbara

You are definitely not alone.  What you describe sounds like it could be a couple (or more) pvcs linked together.  In a person with a normal cardiac workup, it is not more significant, just weirder.  Has your doctor suggested a beta blocker for some symptomatic relief?

Yep, sounds like a few of them bunched together.  I get that in times of stress (either physical, emotional or illness).  It's not pleasant, but if it's just the ectopics, it's not dangerous either.

Thanks everybody. I have been on toprol for yrs now but the beats have gone everyother just recently a couple months ago. I was up to 50mg toprol xl when they started and have backed down to 25 and now 12.5. Palps are still skipping everyother at times but not as slow. I am just afraid if I get off the Toprol xl then I can go into afib and svt. For me its either Palps or palps and afib/svt. But the Toprol has gradually worsened my Palps from once a month to now 2000+ day in 6 yrs. I just had an echo and 24hr halter done and all was normal.
I have to stop what I am doing when the Palps come in runs of everyother.
