PAC's

I have recently had trouble with PAC's.  My doctor did an EKG, Echo, and blood work to confirm that the PAC's are benign. b.  However, here lately I have noticed a lot of pain in the center of my chest when I exercise or do any activities.  The  pain takes my breath away at times.  Is this something to worry about?  Also, I am taking Atenolol for the PAC's.  Would this make me short of breath?

Dear Jake
Atenolol should not make you short of breath unless you have lung disease, which it can sometimes worsen. Pain in your chest while exercising makes me worry about coronary artery disease. A stress test might be useful to evaluate this possibility.
I hope this has been useful. I wish you the best of luck. Feel free to write back.
