Dear Nancy,
Have they done any testing to try to see the cause of the pain? An ultrasound test would rule out any blood clot, although this is unlikely 10 months after the test. I suppose they could have 'hit' a nerve putting the catheter in but again it would be unusual to cause pain for almost a year afterwards. I suppose another test to consider would be an MRI of the area. If all these are normal you may need to see a pain specialist for a nerve block or some other form of pain management for pain of unclear etiology.
It sounds like you are describing the pains caused by sciatica. I had a case of it that was thankfully cured by a chiropractor. You should have it checked out by a doctor to see if that's the case.
Cheers,
Rachel

I have a lump the size of a large grape where the angeoseal was placed......It hurts when I walk, sit, or do anything physical.
My Dr. states this pain is normal, and will go away. They did however; note a hematoma under the incision site. The top of my right leg is also numb. Is this normal. I am looking for insight. Please help!!!!!! ( I am 28 years old) (frown)
Thanks for your time,
Stacey
