PALPITATIONS AND CHEST PAIN

I HAVE MITRAL VALVE REGURGE AND I HAVE BEEN HAVING FREQUENT HEART PALPITATIONS.
ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO I HAD SUCCESSFUL SVT ABLATION.
THE PALPITATIONS WHEN THEY OCCUR PRESENT IN A PATTERN OF 2-3 PER/MIN WITH SLIGHT CHEST PAIN
I HAD AN INCIDENT THAT REALLY HAS SCARED ME. ABOUT A MONTH AGO, I WAS IN A SOUND SLEEP WHEN I SUDDENLY WOKE UP WITH PALPITATIONS,CRUSHING CHEST PAIN,SOB,NAUSEA AND DIAPHORESIS. THIS ONLY LAST FOR MAYBE 5 MINUTES. EVERYTHING ELSE WENT AWAY EXCEPT FOR THE PALPITATIONS.
I AM ON HORMONE RT,AM A SMOKER(SOON TO QUIT) AND HAVE VERY HIGH CHOLESTEROL,ESP.-TRIGLYCERIDES.

Given your symptoms, I think you should contact your doctor for a thorough examination.  "Crushing pain, SOB, nausea, etc. should not be ignored.  A good checkup may reveal something that needs attention.  Or, it may give you greater peace of mind that you are fine.  Personally, I don't think it's worth a wait/see approach.
