I'm assuming that the test said "reversible ischemia" ?
Hi Susan,
As there is an indication of ischemia of a large area, there is a good reason to look further into this.
Ischemia is caused by lack of blood supply from the coronary arteries.
This could in time lead to a myocardial infarction. You want to stay ahead of this.
Why did you have the tests? Are you experiencing some chest discomfort?
The best way to check the condition of your coronary arteries is with a angiogram. This quick and safe procedure is the "golden standard" for coronary artery assessment. If they find a blockage that causes the ischemia, they can often solve it immediately.
