PET vs. Angiogram

PET vs. Angiogram

How does a PET test compare to angiogram?  I assume it is less invasive, requiring no cath, but how do the results compare:
clarity/ability to diagnose blockage and determine best treatment options for angina?

Dear bill

A PET scan is a noninvasive test to determine whether there is a high likelihood of blood flow problems in the heart. A catheterization is an invasive procedure that can more definitively determine if there are significant coronary artery blockages and allows planning of angioplasty or bypass surgery.

I hope this has been useful. I wish you the best of luck. Feel free to write back.
