PLEASE HELP! SOON!

PLEASE HELP! SOON!

Hi...I'm 26 female
No history of heart problems
Overweight.
Diagnosed with Hiatal Hernia, Hashimotors, Iron Def. Anemia.
Hernia causes reflux
Hashimotos levels are slightly off
Anemia needs help

2 months ago got chest pain, pressure
arm pain, some chest squeezing.
Have had nausea off and on for 2 yrs....so (highly doubt its related)
and shortness of breath
these are made worse by exertion and by humidity (don't ask me I have no idea why)

Freaked out.
Went to ER
family doc
and then to 2 additional ER
Had EKG, chest x-ray and blood work for each er trip
*family doc had issued a echocariogram (the sonogram?) before symptoms even started for another reason
It came back good*

Still having symptoms...every doc said its not my heart. That I'm really too young (which I hope)
I know GERD (hernia) can cause chest pains
So can anemia and so can Hashimotos

My question is does it sound "heart related"
Should I go to a cariologist
Should I get another echocardiogram since the symptoms started after I got that test
What test should rule out heart problems

All I want to do is live my life and be healthy from now on...this has really got me freaked out and I just need to know some advice. My family thinks that if it was my heart it would have probably shown up on the echo....plus the docs would have spotted something after 3 ER trips...and my age is pretty young.

Does anyone have any wisdom for me? Please feeling scared....God bless

Wow, you have placed considerable worry on yourself. No one here can say if it's heart related, but it does not sound like it to me anyways, but I'm not a doctor. The pain from GERD can mimic heart pain as both stimulate the same nerve bundle if the esophagus is inflamed. Are you being treated for the GERD?

Your age and gender make a heart problem unlikely as the female is protected from most causes of heart disease during child bearing age, so it would be very unlikely given and normal echo, blood work and the opinion of 3 ER's and your own doctor. Just relax and try to get your mind off of it if possible, I know easier said than done. If you have any more symptoms, see your doctor, but I would trust what he is telling you.

Good luck,

Jon

Thank you for your post. I know I'm freaked out...these symptoms make me "jittery" and I'm actually a calm person. LOL. Its still nice to hear...I didn't know child bearing makes it more protected. I have never been officially treated for GERD...but have been given acid reflux meds...but they haven't helped. However, I'm starting to wonder if I have LOW ACID>..related GERD....which could be being hurt my antacids, etc. Ya know? (:
Thank you very much...
God bless.

You are so very welcome, I hope you find some peace. Just remember, you have been seen by many doctors, what are the chances that they all missed something? Extremely, extremely low. You may want to ask your doctor about a PPI for your GERD, they have helped me considerably.

Hope things work out,

Jon
