I'd never heard of 'supraventricular ectopic beats' untill someone
i met mentioned it and described the exact symptoms i have.
I have yet to talk about this to my cardiologist...
I was diagnosed with PSVT and also with a panic disorder.
However the PSVT or maybe S.E beats where never captured on tape...i had a holter monitor a few times but didn't have an attack while wearing it.
Now the #1 symptoms i describe below is what i always thought of as PSVT...and the number #2 symptoms i always considered a panic attack..
My question is could it be that #1 are actually the 'supraventricular ectopic beats' and #2 is 'normal' PSVT and not a panic attack?
And what exacPosted by CCF CARDIO MD - DLB on June 05, 1999 at 18:37:56
Dear Willem
All symptoms sound like PSVT to me. You need to be evaluated by a cardiac electrophysiologist for this condition. It can potentially be cured with a procedure called catheter ablation. The ectopic beats just refer to extra or irregular heart beats.
I hope this has been useful. Feel free to write back with further questions. Good luck.
