PVC's, SVT, Hypertension, pregnant

OK, I am asking this question to a  physician or to anyone that might have an answer for me. I am 28 yrs old, have hypertension and am about 9 weeks pregnant. My BP is typically 140/90..in the morning it is less..(120/80)I am not overweight, do not smoke, drink etc.. I am currently taking Aldomet 250mg twice a day to treat my blood pressure. About 4 weeks ago the palpitations started,PVC's actually..I have never experienced these before like I am now. Maybe I have actually, but I have never noticed them to this extent. I am getting them often and they are scaring me. I wore a holter monitor 2 weeks ago and it was picked up that my heart rate got up to 210 bpm. This freaked me out. I also have persiods of SVT that only last for a few minutes, my longest episode was about 3 months ago and went for a total of 10 minutes. Nothing in particular brings these on, my HR just kind of speeds up and then slows down suddenly. I have been getting the SVT since 2004 when I had my daughter. Back then it really didn't bother me too much, I never payed much attention to it, but lately it is scaring me because I am more in tune with what is going on. I will be going back to the cardiologist in 2 weeks and he will do an echo, however I had an echo done about a month ago by my regular doctor and was told that everything looks fine except for minor mitral valve regurgitation and he did not seem to worried by it.I also get this left shoulder pain all of the time. I am an anxious person and get panic attacks alot, but I dont know what is related to the anxiety and what is related to the heart problem. I am very stressed out lately and just need some answers..it is all that I think about. any ideas about if this is serious or not?? Thanks..

The blood pressure med that you take is a very old one. Methyldopa may have an effect on your rhythm. There are better drugs for B\P that also have an antiarrhythmic effect. Ask your doctor if aldomet is the best choice.

Yes, aldomet Isan older drug, but it is one of the only meds that can be taken during pregnancy. The cadiologist did not want to put me on a beta blocker because they are not as safe to take..
