yes i have them everyday at times, i just went throught 3 weeks of non-stop pvc/flutters. have not had them in a year so yes its very scarey and when you start having them 4-6 times in a min that long it drives you insane, i went got a ekg and a holitor monitor i wore 24 hours and dr says same old thing  they did change my meds to atenlol and its made a big difference in them might have one or two every two days now , it just not controlling my hard fast heart beat i think the med wears off after 10 hours and fast beat comes back, but its great for pvc/flutters. hang in there it will get better as i have been having them since i was 23 now 47 and still having them but am still around so i know they are not going kill me just give me a hard time. hope today is better for you . just remember they will not kill you .

I've been having them for the last 40 yrs.  Sometimes I had as many as 20 per minute for days to no end.  All heart tests came out normal, and I am still here.

I found out once I lost the fear of dying from it due to re-assurance from a Cardiologist I lost most of the fear and my PVC's come less and don't last as long.

My anxiety and state of mind used to intensify them, and made them last a lot longer.

Also make sure and get blood work.  A friend of mine had severe PVC's on a string, none stop.  Her doctor ordered a blood test before any heart tests and found out that her potassium level was at a very dangerously LOW level.  He prescribed potassium pills and in no time her PVC's stopped.

PVC's can have many causes including no cause.

With me stress either physical or mental, anxiety and fatigue brings them on.

Just went through a 10 month phase with horrible NSVT runs, couplets, bigimeny,  etc., usually in the 10,000's every day. Woke up yesturday and they were GONE, just like that.
Just the nature of the beast as my cardio likes to say.

With alittle good fortune and the help of 500 mgs of liquid magnesium, I'm looking forward to a few years of being completely PVC -free again and wishing the same for all here!

I too can have them for weeks and months to no end, and all of a sudden they stop and I'm totally free of them for up to one year, sometimes longer.

I too take magnesium every day, and strongly believe that magnesium helps, so does calcium.

But if anybody is on any kind of BP meds make sure and check with your pharmacist or doctor "when" to take the calcium pills.  I was educated to take them at least 3 hrs before my BP meds or 3-4 hrs after I take my BP meds otherwise some of the BP meds wont work or wont deliver full results when taken at the same time or close to the time when the BP meds are taken.

I get my 1500 mg of calcium from foods and drinks, calcium pills make me constipated.

Magnesium doesn't matter it wont interfere with meds.

PVC's are so darn frustrating and the anxiety I get from them after long bouts has seriously affected my quality of life.

I truly have to believe that the Mag. stopped them this last round. Never in my 20+ years of them have I had them go from tens of thousands a day to 0 like that, though I've heard of that happening to others. Usually mine taper down over the period of a month or so. I've been fortunate too, because I also knew that my mag level was low from various and frequent tests and because I am often found to be hypokalemic which often results from being low on mag.

I can't take Calcium either. Not only does it make my palps worse, but I experience stomach cramps and constipation also.

Hope your having a PVC free day!

You said you are often found to be hypokalemic, that is low potassium which also can cause PVC's.  Make sure and eat a banana every day or raisins or any other food rich in potassium.

I hope you will be free of PVC's for a long time to come.  My longest was one year, and all of a sudden they came again stronger than ever like they had to make up for that one year they gave me peace :)
