PVCs/irregular heartbeat relieved by alcohol?

I'm fully aware that the topic goes against most medical research in regards to PVCs and irregular heartbeats.

This "revelation" has me a bit confused, however. I experience numerous instances of what I assume are PVCs on a daily/minute basis.

I've experienced almost a complete temporary halt of PVCs due to moderate alcohol consumption.

Which leads me to a very 'amateuristic' and possibly ill-informed diagnostic cause of the PVCs, which is anxiety (reasons unknown).

Either the consumption of alcohol is effecting the cause of the PVCs in a positive manner, or my awareness after the consumption has decreased, to the point where I am not as focused on the frequency of the PVCs, and do not notice them.

Some background on the anxiety; I experience "butterflies" daily, and am unable to identify a cause. I'm always hyper-aware of situations, and the possible outcomes of them, always "on-edge" so to speak. Alcohol consumption retards these feelings.

What are your feelings on this? I've pondered psychosomatic illness, anxiety, and heart disorders without case. Due to my line of work (military), I'm hesistant to bring this to the attention of any affiliated medical personnel.

Failed to mention - after alcohol consumption, the PVCs return much worse the next day. I assume this is from dehydration and loss of potassium/magnesium.

Continued from above - could it also be related to the central nervous system coinciding with the alcohol depressing "normal" functions? CNS functions seem to be overcompensate after drinking.

Sounds exactly like my situation! I guess it's a good sign when PVCs disappear when drinking alcohol. Most likely, it's because alcohol calms your mind, and that in turn decreases the PVCs. Another explaination is that you become less aware of your PVCs when drinking. It would be interesting to wear an holter during alcohol consumption to see if the PVCs actually disappear.

I have found when I go out to eat, one glass "only" of white zifindel (Berringer) relaxes me really well, and I find myself really enjoying my meal at Olive Garden or wherever, and usually don't have PVCs then.  I know a 2nd glass can actually start to add them though, so there is a balance.  I can't drink the dry wines that flush me.  Wow- the heart starts misfiring bad then.
