Pace Maker

I have a pace maker and i weld for a living i was told not to weld without protection and as far as i can tell none available was told to use a ex-ray vest most likely ffrom the dental side of medicine is this possible

AHA Recommendation:  Power-generating equipment, arc welding equipment and powerful magnets (as in medical devices, heavy equipment or motors) can inhibit pulse generators. Patients who work with or near such equipment should know that their pacemakers may not work properly in those conditions.
