Pacemaker and Intimacy

Posted By Karcey on July 12, 1999 at 12:05:09
My husband has had a pacemaker for about 4 years. 3 weeks ago he was sent by ambulance to a local hospital with sx. of a heartattack. He was treated for heartburn and released. He was not comfortable and still didn't feel well so I drove him to another local hospital where he was admitted directly into ICU and the pacemaker testers were called. they immediately found that the lead to the top part of his pacemaker was broken and had shut itself off. they repaired the wire a day later and had his shoulder immobilized for 2 weeks. Since then we have tried to resume our intimacy without success. He is not willing as of yet to bring this to his Dr.s attention and I am becoming worried. As we have never had problems in the past. COuld you please advise if this could be an issue we should go ahead and tell the Dr. or if possibly his body has not had enough time to heal.
