Pacemaker causing Fatigue?

After having Pacemaker implanted is it normal to feel fatigued? I'm presently 80 and since having Pacemaker placed this past October, I find that I'm requiring a nap every afternoon, which I didn't previously. For past month I've also fallen into a depression. Are these aftermath symptoms an occurance after having a Pacemaker? would sure appreciate some informed answers! Thank you, nickjrc

Your symptoms do not sound typical after a pacemaker implantation. While there are many possible reasons why you may be fatigued, it would be important to have your pacemaker checked by your cardiologist to make sure that it is pacing appropriately, and that you do not have symptoms of heart failure.
