Pain after pacemaker

I had pacemaker implanted. 4 days later I had mild throbbing pain in chest and throat, this went away after 24 hours. About a month later pain came back and has continued for last 8 days. Pain increased today; I feel it in my chest throat, neck, jaw and back. Had echocardiogram and it was normal. Recently had stress/nuc (before pacemaker) and it was ok. Cardiologist office thinks it is not damgerous. Also pacemaker was adjusted to lower voltage and seemed to have no effect. What can cause these symptoms?
