Pain in upper part of left arm

HI !! This is about my Mother , she is experiencing an acute pain in upper left arm for more than 3 months now.
She is suffering from diabetics  as well.
She is visiting doctors regularly, but the pain in left arm is not reducing.
I just want to know is the pain in arm because of diabetics or may later cause heart problems as well.
Please advice.

Pain in the arm can result from a number of factors. Abnormalities of the skin, nerves, bones, joints, blood vessels, and soft tissues of the arm can all result in pain. Sometimes diseases that affect other organs in the body, like peripheral vascular disease or arthritis, can be the cause of pain in the arm. Causes of arm pain range from mild annoyances to severe and potentially life-threatening occurrences, such as the pain from myocardial infarction and angina (chest pain)  that may radiate (spread) to the arm area. Treatments for arm pain depend on the underlying cause
Diabetes
Peripheral artery disease
Peripheral Neuropathy
