Palpitations, PVC's, skipped heart beats, need help!!!!!!

Hi im a 20 year old female whos suffering with what i call missed heart beats. Im 19 weeks pregnant and they have got worse since i got pregnant. I did experience these palpitations on and off a few years back when i had a miscarriage but i had been free of them for about 7 months. I have had numerous ecg's, echocardiogram, 24 hour ecg, blood tests e.t.c everything came back fine! I had these tests 2 years ago and i have just had another 24hr ecg and awaiting the results. I'm always scared that im going to have a heart attack and that the palpitations will cause a dangerous condition. I'm worried that im having them at such a young age and this may effect me in the future.

I have now been put on prozac for my anxiety and i am very depressed because of it all. I only have between 10 and 20 a day and i know that people have loads more than this but they still scare the hell out of me! Sometimes i will have a few in a row which really scares me but i think i have a normal beat inbetween them.

Mine feel like missed beats or shudders, they take my breath away and send a hot feeling through my body! I just need some reassurance, does everyone think there benign!!!
Does anyone experience the same feeling!

If your testing shows the beats are benign then they are benign. It doesn't matter what I "think" I am not a cardiologist who has tested you and read your history.

Extremely high numbers of ectopic beats over years can lead to some cardiomyopathy, but you haven't got multiple thousands of ectopics a day.

Benign ectopics do not lead to sudden death and heart attacks are caused by cornoary artery disease which, as a very young woman, you are extremely unlikely to have.

You should write down your questions and take them to your doctor for reassurance. They would not tell you that you are fine if their evidence did not indicate that it was true.

Good luck :-)

I have had arrhythmias including skipped beats for 7 years daily and am still here although it is difficult to live with at times. I hope this gives you some reassurance.  Everyone needs that at times.
