4 years ago I was diagnosed with pericardial tamponade which i required an open pericardiotomy. 450 cc of serosanguineous fluid was removed from the pericardium. The pericardium was quite thick and a 2cm window was excised. I was told that it was probably viral.
I had since then been vaccinated with the seasonal flu and the pneumonia shots.
My concern now is with H1N1 flu. I work with small children, kindergarten, and we had 2 confirmed cases. To make my worries even bigger I have been going thru some thyroid problem, enlarged thyroid with multi nodules, 6 to be exact. What is the protocol on this, and or should I be concerned with my health.
Hope to hear from someone. thank you
